This new CMI Level 5 qualification is ideal for those looking to develop key skills as a manager, including developing personal management capabilities, making effective use of information in decision-making and developing people.
CMI study time is measured in credits, which are based on estimated learning time for the average learner. This includes the time to be taught the content via formal Guided Learning, as well as additional informal learning, preparation and completion of assessment.
If you are a professionally registered as Chartered or Incorporated Engineer, you will only need to complete 50% of the required credits for each qualification.
This qualification lets you strengthen and develop your knowledge of middle management by focusing on specific management areas that are applicable to your job.
You will need to complete at least one unit to a minimum of 4 credits and submit a written assignment that successfully demonstrates your understanding of the your chosen topic. This qualification needs to be completed within 12 months of the start date.
This qualification gives you a broader knowledge of middle management skills while focusing on the specific leadership areas appropriate to you and your workplace.
You will need to complete any combination of units to a minimum of 13 credits to achieve this qualification. For each unit of study, you are required to produce an assignment that demonstrates your understanding of the unit topic. This qualification needs to be completed within 36 months of the start date.
Designed for middle managers and those aspiring to senior management, this qualification is the benchmark qualification for full CMI membership, taking you another step towards Chartered Manager status.
You will need to complete any combination of units to a minimum of 37 credits to achieve this qualification. For each unit of study, you are required to produce an assignment that demonstrates your understanding of the unit topic. This qualification needs to be completed within 36 months of the start date.
