Awarded to an EngTech who has demonstrated outstanding commitment to their continuing professional development.
The EngTech will have made a positive difference to their company and have made a significant contribution to encouraging young people into an engineering career. This may include working within a school or with a group of pupils, within a youth group, mentoring work experience placements, or other promotional activities. It is expected that such activities are long-term initiatives continuing into the future.
Entrants must also show a career plan for the next three years or so.
The award will be made to an individual that has made a significant contribution to promoting EngTech registration in either an engineering role or in supportive roles such as manager, supervisor, lecturer, mentor, trainer, HR professional or advisor.
The award will be made to someone demonstrating direct involvement in growing and promoting the Institution’s EngTech registration.
This could include activities such as:
The winner will receive a plaque and certificate. The winner will also benefit from the industry-wide recognition gained as a result of winning this prestigious award.
