Our Distance Learning programme is open to anyone who already has bachelor’s level qualification and is looking to meet the academic requirement for registration as a Chartered Engineer (CEng).
You will need to complete these modules remotely, which will enable you to demonstrate master’s level learning, while you work towards becoming a Chartered Engineer (CEng).
The table below shows the suite of approved modules from accredited distance learning programmes. For your Further Learning plan, please select a combination of 30 CATS points from the Engineering and Science Deepening list and a combined minimum of 90 CATS points from the Technical and Non-technical lists below.
Links to the full module descriptors are detailed in the lists below. Read them carefully and consider the learning outcomes, costs and enrolment dates before you populate your plan.
You should consider a combination that complements each other and your own career path. The module selection can be from any of the universities listed below. Please contact the university direct to discuss the module before including it within your plan. Enrolment dates, fees and any pre-requisites onto a module must be discussed directly with the university.
Only the modules in the table below can be used on the approved route application form.
You will need to complete the Approved Distance Learning Application Form and read the CEng Further learning guidance before you complete your plan.
Contact our Further learning team if you have any questions about Distance Learning.
